Nate Shaffer is an owner of Strata Homes and a real estate entrepreneur with more than two decades of experience spanning real estate brokerage, land acquisition, construction, development, sales, and investment.
Nate’s career in real estate began in 2003, when he worked alongside an experienced land broker assisting with land acquisition and development transactions involving some of the nation’s largest homebuilders. That early exposure gave him an appreciation for what happens long before construction begins—from identifying opportunities and understanding land value to negotiating transactions and creating a vision for what a property can become.
His career later took him to Las Vegas, where he gained hands-on experience in large-scale commercial construction, helping manage portions of several major resort and commercial projects. Combined with his background in real estate, those experiences gave Nate a unique perspective on the relationship between land, design, construction, marketability, and long-term value.
After relocating with his family to St. George in 2016, Nate built a successful real estate business in Southern Utah and eventually founded Element Real Estate Brokers. His work in brokerage kept him closely connected to buyers, sellers, investors, landowners, builders, and developers throughout the region and ultimately led to greater involvement in homebuilding and development.
Today, through Strata Homes, Nate brings that broad real estate perspective to the building process. He is particularly involved in the business, real estate, development, acquisition, sales, and strategic sides of the company, working alongside the Strata team to identify opportunities and create homes and projects that make sense both for the people who will live in them and for the communities in which they are built.
Nate believes great development begins with understanding the land and the market, but great homes ultimately come down to understanding people. His approach combines thoughtful design, practical decision-making, strong communication, and an attention to long-term value.
As Strata continues to grow, Nate’s focus is on building a company with a reputation that extends beyond the homes themselves—a company known for integrity, creativity, quality, and doing business the right way.
For Nate, the most rewarding part of real estate and construction is seeing an idea progress from a piece of property and a set of plans into a place where people will live, work, gather, and create memories for years to come.
